'Dirty Delly' sparks more controversy with groin punch
Matthew Dellavedova did nothing to silence his critics in game one of the NBA Finals, getting a tech foul after hitting Andre Iguodala with a low blow.
The Aussie guard was racing back on defence when he attempted to knock the ball out of his opponent's hands.
Delly's swipe missed the ball completely but connected with a different sort of ball, whacking Iguodala in the groin.

Although it appeared accidental, his Golden State Warriors counterparts weren't particularly happy, with a slight melee breaking out.
Needless to say social media went into overdrive pointing out the fact that it's not the first time Delly has been accused of being a 'dirty' player:
I'm not completely sure about Delly's intentions there.

This game turned on that late-3rd groin-shot foul by Delly - accidental or not. Iggy responded w/ mad three to put GSt up 6. Goodnite, Cavs.

Delly went "down under?" So.

Other PLAYERS around the NBA think Delly is a dirty player...wonder how much his personal history factors into the referee caucus.

Just play on and stop the deliberation...Problem is Delly has a history of dirty play vs tissue team...just last year in the finals...

Some even suggested the play was a turning point, sparking the Warriors to a 104-89 victory.
