NBA fan eats own shirt after losing bet

Some sporting results are harder to take than others, but for one NBA fan, the Golden State Warriors’ victory over Oklahoma City was a bitter pill – or should we say – t-shirt to swallow.

The Cleveland Cavaliers supporter was so confident the Thunder would deny the Warriors another berth in the NBA finals, he promised to eat his shirt if he was wrong.

So after Splash Brothers Steph Curry and Klay Thompson led the reigning NBA champs to a 96-88 win in Game Seven, it was t-shirt on the menu for this unfortunate soul.

Although he didn’t eat the whole thing, and the small portions he did consume were dipped in barbecue sauce, this fan should be commended for following through with a promise – no matter how difficult it would have been to stomach.
