High school team loses after costly premature celebration

It's not over till it's over.

Those words will be ringing in the ears of the Burrillville High School's basketball team after they completely botched the finish to their state championship game, literally throwing the game away.

Late in the game with a one-point lead, Burrillville stole an inbound pass and in an attempt to drain the clock, threw the ball in the air, storming the court and celebrating their victory.

On the ensuing inbound play, they pulled off a crisp alley-oop and stole the game, leaving Burrillville in despair and complete embarrassment.
