Male dancer slays Miami Heat Dancers auditions
Keith Wilson was trying to break down barriers at the recent Miami Heat Dancers auditions.
Dozens of women turned up for the chance to join a coveted crew. But only one man, Wilson.
It’s not surprising that he was the only man. These Dancers have traditionally all been female.
But Wilson, who runs his own dance company and says he has been dancing since he was a kid, was having none of it.

He tried out in 2012 and did not make the first round cut.
But this year footage has appeared that shows Wilson tearing it up to Beyonce’s ‘Run The World (Girls)’.
When the song came on he said he knew he would nail it.
“It was very simple and easy for me to catch the beat, catch the move, and just milk it for what it was,” he said.
Wilson made it through to the third round but did not make the boot camp, a decision he puts down to his gender.
“I do believe it was because of my gender, and that the Heat is not ready for a guy right now,” he said. “In due time they’ll be open to it, though.”
