Sydney FC say Jordy Buijs will be right to play in the A-League semi-final against Melbourne Victory despite training separately from the main group.
The Dutch centre-back is believed to have woken up with a sore back on Thursday morning and was restricted to walking laps of the field and light exercises with club physio Elias Boukarim.
But the club's hierarchy wasn't overly concerned about Buijs getting up for the Big Blue blockbuster against Victory.
The off-contract 29-year-old is a huge part of the Sky Blues' success and his absence would have a significant impact.
Not only has Buijs started all 27 games as the premiers' defensive backbone alongside Alex Wilkinson but he's also made a league-high total 1583 passes - more than prolific midfield teammates Josh Brillante and Brandon O'Neill.
Outgoing coach Graham Arnold has an otherwise fully fit squad at his disposal and is out to extend Sydney's winning streak over Victory to eight matches in his hunt for successive titles.
