Aust trio named in Barbarians' Pumas clash

Australians Luke Jones, Tom English and Jack Debreczeni have all been named in the Barbarians team to face Argentina in London on Saturday.

Bordeaux Begles lock Jones, who is set to return to Melbourne Rebels in 2019 after a two-year stint in France, will partner South Africa's Lood de Jager in the second row for the legendary invitational side's Twickenham clash against the Pumas.

Chiefs fullback Debreczeni - the traditional uncapped player in the starting XV - lines up at fullback with his compatriot and Rebels centre English in a backline that also includes Italy's Tommaso Benvenuti and Tonga's Leon Fukofuka.

Springboks boss Rassie Erasmus, who is coaching the Barbarians for this weekend's match, has named New Zealand prop Wyatt Crockett as captain, plus eight South African internationals, including current Test fly-half Handre Pollard and Stormers hooker Schalk Brits.

There is also a place for Argentina's Juan Manuel Leguizamon, who lines up in the backrow with Siya Kolisi and Pieter-Steph Du Toit against his fellow countrymen.

The Baa Baas will be facing Argentina for just a third time in their 128-year history. The Pumas were beaten 34-22 at Cardiff 1990 but won the 2015 rematch 49-31. Lood de Jager is the sole survivor from the Baa Baas side that day.
