Aussie beast crowned Fittest Woman on Earth
Brisbane athlete Tia-Clair Toomey has been crowned the Fittest Woman on Earth for the second year in a row after a powerful performance at the 2018 Crossfit Games.
Toomey won three events out of 14 across the games, but was extremely consistent, only finishing outside the top 10 once.
Last year, a thrilling finish left the CrossFit community in wonder, but after this year’s final event, there are no questions. Once again, @TiaToomey 🇦🇺 is the Fittest Woman on Earth. #CrossFitGames pic.twitter.com/4zqvaCmh1u

During the ‘Crossfit Total’ event, Toomey lit up the games with a stunning 188kg deadlift, which sent the crowd wild and left the Aussie pumped.
The weightlifting star is no stranger to the highlights reel, and had Australian fans in awe of her sheer strength at the Commonwealth Games earlier in the year.
Toomey claimed a dramatic victory for Australia in the 58kg weightlifting category by pulling off a huge 114kg clean and jerk on the last lift of the competition – adding a Commonwealth Games gold medal to her fittest woman on earth title from the year before.
“This gold medal means more than just a gold medal,” Toomey told Channel 7.
“My family, my team, my husband, we’ve trained so hard for this, it is a dream come true.”
