Auburn WR Will Hastings undergoes ACL surgery, report says

Hastings is expected to miss the rest of spring training and the senior could miss the entire 2018 season.

Auburn wide receiver Will Hastings had surgery for a torn ACL, which he injured during Auburn's first spring scrimmage Saturday, according to a report from AL.com.

It's expected Hastings will miss the rest of spring training and multiple reports indicate the senior could miss the entire 2018 season.

Hastings will be a big loss for Auburn if the wide receiver is not cleared to play next season as he had 26 receptions for 525 yards and four touchdowns last season.

Injuries seem to be a trend for the Tigers as wide receiver Eli Stove also tore his ACL earlier in the spring. He is expected back for the regular season. Auburn also lost backup center Nick Brahms to a broken leg this week and defensive lineman Daquon Newkirk has a torn Achilles.

The Tigers still have Ryan Davis, Darius Slayton and Nate Craig-Myers at wide receiver, but their depth would take a hit without Hastings next season.
