Argos Black Friday sale 2023 - and the best deals while you wait
Love it or loathe it, Black Friday is now a firmly established part of the global shopping calendar, with many a retailer looking to secure shoppers' custom in the lead-up to Christmas with a tempting deal or two.
High street chains including the likes of Argos are no exception. There's still a couple of months to go until the main event, but it's already built out a comprehensive-looking landing page full of tips for customers seeking a bargain – with top tips including adding products to your wishlist, checking out item return policies, and making sure that your online account is all set up and ready to go. All very sensible suggestions.
So, here's how Argos' preparation for Black Friday and Cyber Monday is shaking out, what its customers might be able to expect, and some deals that are running at the moment if you simply just can't wait…
When is Black Friday in 2023? And when could the Argos Black Friday 2023 sale start?
Quick reminder for those who haven't already inked or typed this into their physical or virtual calendars – Black Friday will take place on Friday, November 24 this year, with Cyber Monday following on Monday, November 27.
As for when Argos' Black Friday deals will actually launch, that's really anyone's guess. We can probably presume as always that the very best discounts will be available through November 24-27, as is common across most retailers. However, with hot competition, many companies launch offers early.
For its part, Argos is currently saying "we'll also have great deals in the run-up to the big day". So we'd take that as a sign that you can definitely expect some offers across its many, many product lines prior to November 24 – particularly when combined with its note that "our Black Friday event covers lots of different categories".
And it also specifically mentions that "many of our great deals are available across the weekend and into Cyber Monday".
Argos Black Friday 2023 deals predictions
Well, we've had a few hints from the company itself, but they're very broad. On its Black Friday landing page, it specifically highlights tech (including TVs, laptops and gaming "for the PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox series, as well as PC games").
Argos also makes specific mention of phone deals being popular – so could we see discounts on Apple iPhone, Samsung or Google Pixel handsets?
While the retailer stresses that its Black Friday sale highlights are yet to be revealed – rather obviously, as we're still a good few weeks away from shopping season – it does state that offers "could include popular products such as toys, electricals, beauty products, and perfumes".
Electricals deals at Argos during its 2022 Black Friday event included savings on a recently-released 50" TV from Toshiba, savings of over 40% on one of Shark's popular anti-hair-wrap stick vacuum cleaners, and a price cut on the Xbox Series S.
There were also decent discounts on LEGO and earbuds from household names like Google and Samsung, and it price-matched a number of deals on Amazon's Echo range of Alexa-enabled smart speakers and displays.
And for those who aren't as interested in the product lines and categories mentioned above, Argos has said that it will have a "Black Friday clothing event [that] will feature a range of stylish clothing" for adults and children via its Tu brand.
You might be familiar with the Tu name if you've been in a Sainsbury's store – and after it acquired Argos in 2016, it started selling Tu clothes via the retailer's website a few years later.

Another top tip when shopping at Argos – make sure that you add your postcode when shopping. This will give you the most accurate stock levels for both home delivery and click & collect services in your area.

Microsoft's Surface Go 3 touchscreen 2-in-1 device promises "tablet-to-laptop versatility", according to the brand. It features in our roundup of the best cheap laptops, and the 64GB edition currently has a £20 price cut at Argos.
It's super-portable and has sturdy casing – the only disadvantage is that you'll have to pick up compatible accessories like a keyboard, mouse, and (if you'd like one) stylus separately.
This Cookworks air fryer has a small price cut and while it just has one cooking compartment, it does have 10 pre-set programmes.
