Analysis: West Ham 3-2 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest conceded a late winner as they fell to defeat at West Ham.

Steve Cooper, marking his 50th match in charge of Forest, would no doubt have been frustrated with sloppy play from his side.

Antony Elanga put the away side in front, slotting home from an Ola Aina cut back but there were just 123 seconds between Elanga's goal and West Ham's equaliser through Jarrod Bowen.

Despite defeat, there were positives for Forest. Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi were lively and proved troublesome at times for the West Ham defence.

Awoniyi has scored six of Nottingham Forest’s last nine league goals away from home.

However, Forest's away form is still a problem - they have the joint-fewest away league victories of any side in England’s top four tiers since the start of last season (P26 W2 D6 L18), along with Rotherham.

Cooper will surely be looking for ways to address Forest's poor away form during the international break.
