Josh Aloiai insists there is no bad blood between himself and former Wests Tigers teammates after his ugly exit from the NRL club.
Aloiai created headlines when he pushed for a release from the final season of his Tigers contract last November to join Manly on a three-year deal.
He is likely to come face to face with his old teammates as soon as next Sunday, with the Sea Eagles' only pre-season trial against the Tigers at Leichhardt Oval.
Manly also play the Tigers twice during the regular season, including in an Anzac Day clash at Bankwest Stadium.
But three months after being threatened with mowing lawns at Leichhardt if he wouldn't play, Aloiai said he had no interest in revenge.
"Everyone is circling (the game) for me," Aloiai said.
"It's just football honestly. I'm not letting the noise get me too much or over committing my energy to revenge matches or letting those thoughts in.
"I've still got a lot of friends at the Wests Tigers, I still tend to stay in contact with a lot of the boys there.
"There's no bad blood there not at all."
Aloiai's mid-contract exit prompted several negative headlines and stern criticism from Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis.
A mountain of social media abuse also prompted Aloiai to post a meme of him mowing the lawn, which he claims was merely "tongue-in-cheek".
"My friends and family sent me some funny memes I just posted one of them. I thought it was funny," Aloiai said.
"People that know me and the people that are important to me know who I am and what I stand for and and what I'm about."
The 25-year-old said he turned his focus to the birth of his first son as he dealt with the fallout, claiming it has changed his perspective on his career.
He also insists he was not brought to Manly as a ready-made replacement for Addin Fonua-Blake, who shares the same manager as Aloiai.
"I've refocused into what's important to me and the reason that I'm out here playing. And that's my family and my faith," he said.
"My son was a couple months old and kind of everything was unfolding and he was a shining light and my wife, she's rock solid for me."
