Geelong youngster Jesse Stringer is under police investigation for an unspecified incident which took place on Friday.

The club confirmed that Stringer was subject of a complaint made to police on Friday but refused to elaborate further on the nature of the incident.

After being taken at pick No.61 in the 2010 Rookie Draft, Stringer finally made his debut in Round 4 this season and has shown some promising signs as a dashing midfielder.

The 21-year-old has averaged 12.5 touches in eight matches this year and kicked three goals.

The Cats have the bye this weekend.

Absolute dropkick Leisa, get a life and its meant to be innocent til proven guilty in court. Not the media reports it and its true. Its pathetic by clubs to stand a player down before proceedings have finished also, if the stkilda football club stood every player down on suspicions and accusations of rape they would have lost a couple of their best players for no reason as they werelater found innocent.
