Riewoldt recounts Dusty's epic late-night antics

Grand Final hero Jack Riewoldt has recounted a hilarious story from Richmond's post-Grand Final partying.

Speaking on AFL 360, Riewoldt revealed Norm Smith Medallist Dustin Martin had a hilarious use for a $1500 bottle Don Perignon at 2:30am on Sunday morning.

"He was just spraying it everywhere," Riewoldt said.

"And then I can remember seeing the crowd look up and think that's $1500 Don Perignon and they had their mouths open."

The premiership winner said his night had ended by 5am before he woke at 8am to prepare for Richmond's celebration with the fans.

Riewoldt also told AFL 360 how he managed to get on stage with The Killers after his side's premiership victory.

"It's very un-Richmondy what I did," Riewoldt said.

"I went to the media girls during the week and said 'look I know the Killers are playing and I love the Killers,' on the off chance we do win can I get on stage?'

"And it sort of came to fruition through the AFL... (they) made it happen, and yeah got up on stage and sung Mr Brightside."

The 28-year-old revealed the plan was confirmed half an hour after full-time, but hit a snag when he was called to the stage during the player's meeting.

He told AFL 360 there was nothing in the world that would have pulled him away from the meeting at that stage, however he eventually managed to get on stage later on in the night.

"I'm forever grateful... I tell you what, being a rockstar's pretty cool!" Riewoldt said.

The star forward later revealed the clip of him on stage had 2.7 million views on the club website.
