Bartel Jnr does not recognise beardless dad

Geelong legend Jimmy Bartel might have to spend some quality time with his toddler in the off-season after the youngster failed to recognise his beardless dad.

Bartel, who until two days ago sported the best beard in sport, came home clean shaven for the first time in over six months and tried to say hello to little Aston.

However Aston could only look at this bald-faced man in confusion.

The voice sounded the same, mum Nadia reassured him it was dad as well but the little one was having none of it.

The clip appeared on the Instagram account of Nadia following the shaving process.

Bartel grew the beard all season as part of his Face Up to DV (domestic violence) campaign.

Not even a kiss from dad could jog the memory of Aston who is seen just staring at the cheeks and chin of dad.
