Roos man forced off after ‘friendly fire’ falcon

Falcons are normally pretty funny in a game of football, but North Melbourne’s Farren Ray wasn’t laughing after copping a footy to the face from one of his teammates.

The incident happened in the first quarter of the Roos game against Adelaide when a full-blooded clearing kick hit Ray squarely in the face from only a metre or so away.

Ray was forced from the field visibly shaken and after failing a subsequent concussion test, it became clear that his match was over before it even really got going.
