Essendon young gun kicks goal of year contender in VFL
The Bombers haven't had much to smile about in 2016, but this goal from Aaron Francis shows they've got plenty to look forward to in the near future.
Playing for Essendon's VFL side against Werribee on Saturday, Francis received the ball on the boundary just outside his forward 50.
The sixth overall pick in the 2015 Draft weaved in and out of multiple defenders on a penetrating run towards goal before bending a brilliant banana kick straight through from about 30 metres out on a near-impossible angle.
The sensational effort is being touted as one of the best goals of the year and received a raft of praise on social media:
Think it might be time for @EssendonFC to give Aaron Francis a crack in the seniors!

He certainly could teach Travis Cloke a thing or two.
