Bulldogs seething over Lindsay Thomas coathanger

The Western Bulldogs were not happy with Lindsay Thomas after his wild forearm cleaned up Lachie Hunter during the Bulldogs loss to North Melbourne.

Hunter was attacking the footy in the fourth quarter, when Thomas struck him with a WWE-approved coathanger.

“He had to go lower then, Lindsay Thomas, and that was ordinary on Lachie Hunter,” Channel 7 commentator Cameron Ling said.

In Thomas' defence, Hunter had his body very low to the ground and was caught on the way up, but the contact was still rough.

Speaking on Fox Footy this morning, Bulldogs midfielder Marcus Bontompelli expressed the team's disappointment at the nature of the tackle.

“We didn’t really like it at all, we thought there was quite a bit of malice in it,” he said.

“He will be ok, hopefully he can relax and be ok over the next couple of days. But we thought it was quite a bit unfair.”
