Collingwood will welcome back two of their stars for their final home and away game of the season against Essendon.
The Magpies have lost their past two matches and will look to the return of captain Nick Maxwell and ruckman Darren Jolly to help the side's return to form prior to finals.
Both missed last week's trip to Perth after Maxwell was ruled out with a groin injury and Jolly with general soreness.
Midfielder Sharrod Wellingham is also expected to play this week despite splitting the webbing in his left hand in last week's 49-point loss to West Coast.
Wellingham tweeted that he was fine and was looking forward to the side's final game against their arch rivals.
"Thanks for all the concerned messages...finger is fine! Nothing too serious, looking forward to next week!" Wellingham said.
Director of Football Geoff Walsh said all three were expected to train and be available for selection.
Irish Rookie Caolan Mooney is set to miss another 1-2 weeks after sustaining an ankle injury against North Melbourne in Round 21.
