Greater Western Sydney midfielder Taylor Adams escaped conviction after pleading guilty to one charge of recklessly causing injury and one of affray.
Adams, who fronted the Geelong Magistrates Court on Monday, had two assault charges arising from an incident in January dropped.
Adams - who has played eight games for the AFL's newest club this season - made a $1000 payment to the court fund and will attend a diversion program on the recommendation of Victoria Police.
The Giants are yet to decide what further action will be taken.
Adams has averaged 18 disposals per game in his debut season in the AFL.
