Port Adelaide midfielder Travis Boak will be sidelined for up to a month after undergoing surgery on his troublesome right foot.
Boak, who had 18 possessions in the Power's thumping of Carlton on Saturday, opted to go under the knife on Monday.
"Travis has had this foot problem on and off since the lead up to Round 1 and in the last couple of weeks it has given him a lot of trouble," Port Adelaide football operations manager Peter Rohde said.
"He hasn't been able to train for two weeks and he's had to have pain killers to be able to play against the Gold Coast and against Carlton on Saturday night.
"Sometimes these injuries heal naturally but with his foot getting sorer in all sorts of spots we elected to have surgery."
The 23-year-old will miss Port Adelaide's matches against Hawthorn on Sunday and the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium in Round 12.
The Power have a bye in Round 13 before travelling to Geelong to face the Cats on July 1, which looms as a potential return date for Boak.
