NBA announces G League base salary raises

The league on Tuesday announced the salaries for the 2018-19 season, specifying that contracts will earn a base salary of $35,000 — or $7,000 per month — over the five-month regular season going forward.

The pay increase, which comes in addition to housing and insurance benefits, is a significant boost from the $26,000 players had previously earned over the five-month period.

Players are also eligible to earn affiliate player bonuses worth up to $50,000 that go into effect when a player enters training camp with an NBA team and goes on to play for that team's G League affiliate.

Furthermore, the league will allow NBA players can still enter into two-way contracts that pay $77,250 beginning next season. That salary is slightly up from $75,000 this season and brings the potential earnings up to $385,000.
