Los Angeles has contacted the Giants about a possible trade for the receiver, the New York Daily News reported, citing league sources.

According to the report, the Giants want a first-round pick in exchange for Beckham, along with other incentives.

When approached by the Daily News, Rams general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay would not comment on the trade rumor. However, an unnamed Rams executive asked, "where did you hear that?"

Beckham already lives in Los Angeles during the offseason, so the Rams are likely using the idea of him living there full time as a tactic.

If the Rams give their first-round pick for the 2018 draft, the Giants would have the 23rd overall pick on top of having the second overall pick.

Beckham, who said he would not play unless he received a huge contract extension from the Giants or elsewhere, had at least 90 catches, 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons but fell short this past year due to injury.
