Tonight's NBA DFS Picks: Top values for DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy basketball contests

Tuesday brings one of the biggest NBA DFS slates of the season, with both DraftKings and FanDuel offering massive tournaments for this large 11-game slate. Some games with high totals that stand out are the Timberwolves-Wizards, Raptors-Nets, Clippers-Bulls, Hornets-Pelicans, Cavs-Suns, and Nuggets-Lakers, so you can see that there are a ton of directions that you can go with your daily fantasy basketball lineups.

There are also plenty of studs to pay up for tonight with LeBron, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Joel Embiid all in great matchups. Thankfully, there is a solid amount of value that can hopefully open up enough salary to pay up for some of those studs, as well as stack a few of these high total games.

NBA DFS Picks: FanDuel, DraftKings values for Thursday, March 13

Jamal Murray, PG/SG, Nuggets @ Lakers (DK: $6,200, FD: $6,400)

The Nuggets-Lakers game has the highest total of the night at 231 points and is gushing fantasy appeal. The prime matchup of this game is Murray against fellow young point guard Lonzo Ball. These two have got some bad blood going and will both be motivated to excel in this matchup. While I like both Murray and Ball, it is Murray who provides the better value at his price point. He has crushed the Lakers this season, averaging over 37 fantasy points per game and he went off against them for 46 fantasy points just last week.

Jonas Valanciunas, C, Raptors @ Nets (DK: $5,900, FD: $7,300)

Valanciunas is always in the tournament discussion and tonight is no different as he takes on the Nets, who rank dead last against centers. The issue with him is always his minutes, but he could be able to go for 40-plus points tonight in this matchup even if he is held to 25 minutes or less. He is a much better play on DraftKings at $5,900 but is still in play for large field tournaments on FanDuel at $7,300.

Brook Lopez, C, Lakers vs. Nuggets (DK: $5,800, FD: $6,700)

Another guy who I love in the Nuggets-Lakers game is Lopez, who has suddenly had a second-half resurgence. His minutes are way up over the past three games, as he has played over 32 minutes in each game, which has included back-to-back 40-plus point fantasy games. Lopez had fantasy appeal during his time in Brooklyn, and his new role on the Lakers makes him worth a look tonight on a slate that is loaded at the center position. He also just smashed the Nuggets last week, posting a line of 29 points to go along with five boards.

Corey Brewer, SF/PF, Thunder @ Hawks (DK: $3,900, FD: $4,100)

Brewer has been a pleasant surprise since joining the Thunder and being put into the starting lineup. He has shot the ball extremely well and his minutes seem locked into the low 30s. His price has come up a bit but not quite enough yet based on his role with the team. Tonight, he gets a great matchup with the Hawks, who are both one of the worst defensive teams in the league and are fully committed to losing games for the rest of the season.
