Tonight we have the final two games before the All-Star break, and as of now it looks like there isn’t going to be any obvious cheap value plays for NBA DFS contests. With that being said, there are a few potential picks that we can target who are underpriced and have the ability to far outproduce their salary expectations on DraftKings and FanDuel.
It is also nice that both games have fairly high totals, with the Nuggets-Bucks game checking in at 214 and the Lakers-Timberwolves all the way up at 226. It’s also noteworthy that the pricing on DraftKings is much softer tonight, so there is certainly more value over there, but it is also pretty easy to go in any direction you want to on FanDuel with the $60,000 salary cap on a two-game slate.

NBA DFS Picks: FanDuel, DraftKings values for Thursday, Feb. 15
Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Timberwolves vs. Lakers (DK: $9,300, FD: $10,300)
KAT is coming off one of his best games of the season, destroying the Rockets for 35 points and 12 rebounds. Tonight, he gets another favorable matchup against the Lakers in a game that will be high paced and has a very high game total. KAT has averaged 52.3 fantasy points per game against the Lakers over the past two seasons and has 60-point upside if this game stays close and he sees 35-plus minutes.
Isaiah Thomas, PG/SG, Lakers @ Timberwolves (DK: $5,800, FD: $7,000)
Thomas killed a bunch of lineups last night, getting himself ejected in the first quarter. However, there is no reason to not go right back to him tonight, especially on DraftKings where he is just too cheap at only $5,800. The matchup against the Timberwolves is excellent, as they rank in the bottom 10 in the league against point guards and there are certainly going to be plenty of buckets in this one with a game total of 226 points.
Josh Hart, PG/SG, Lakers @ Timberwlves (DK: $4,600, FD: $5,000)
Hart continues to get opportunities to produce with the Lakers and should be locked in for at least 25 minutes regardless of how the team decides to utilize Thomas. Hart is listed as a PG/SG, but he is used more like a traditional wing player, which has helped him to really get involved in the rebounding game, keeping his floor high. He has exceeded value in five of the past six games and is worth taking a shot on again on a two-game slate.
Trey Lyles, SF/PF, Nuggets @ Bucks (DK: $4,400, FD: $6,000)
Lyles has been a nice surprise for the Nuggets this season, and he is way too cheap on DraftKings at $4,400. It’s always scary rostering Nuggets role players because they are one of the most inconsistent teams in the league in regards to minutes allocation, as evidenced by Lyles only seeing 17 minutes off the bench in their last game. However, it is rare that Lyles sees consecutive games of playing less than 20 minutes, so I expect him to see 25-plus minutes tonight in a good matchup with the Bucks. Lyles doesn’t have a great floor, but he has 30-plus fantasy point upside on a nightly basis.
