The Jets and Giants didn't make the NFL playoffs this year, but they're still being handed Ls.
If you're a fan of either New York football team, you have plenty of reasons to be disappointed in your terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad seasons. Now, chances are you've heard both the Patriots and the Eagles are advancing to Super Bowl 52 and have to try really hard to not vomit at that thought, too.
Can't get any worse than that, right? Watching the chief division rivals of the Jets and Giants, respectively, advance to the Super Bowl while you're busy sulking is the bottom of the barrel, right?

Just check out the blasphemous, horrendous, disappointing betrayal from the (once) iconic Empire State Building on Sunday night.
Congratulations to the @Patriots and the @Eagles, The AFC and NFC Champions! In honor of their upcoming trip to the big game our lights are now shining in their colors. Who will you be cheering for on February 4th? pic.twitter.com/IsDZLLbrmG

It's bad enough that New Yorkers have to deal with the bad football, the MTA and tourists, but now they have this shining through their bedroom windows at night, reminding them of how abysmal the New York football scene really was in 2017.
Needless to say, some (apparent) New Yorkers took issue with it.
WTF is this? Whoever was behind this nonsense needs to be reassigned ASAP, F the Eagles and I’m sure the Jets fans feel that way about the Pats. Change it now!

The Statue of Liberty wouldn't do this.
