Police get mobile forensics lab for Games

A mobile forensics laboratory will help Queensland police quickly secure major crime and terrorism sites on the Gold Coast at next year's Commonwealth Games.

The $210,000 purpose-built truck featuring a 16-panel solar power system was unveiled on Friday on the Gold Coast along with specialist forensic response motorcycles.

A further three Mobile Forensic Facilities are planned at Brisbane, Rockhampton and Cairns to ensure the whole of the state is able to access the equipment.
