All members of the Clemson, Oregon State, Arizona and Tulane traveling parties are reportedly safe after a van plowed into pedestrians in Barcelona, where the teams are playing summer exhibitions.

Police told local media outlets that there are as many as 13 fatalities and they believe the driver acted intentionally in jumping a curb and running down people in the Las Ramblas district, a popular tourist area.

Clemson was set to play the final game of a summer tour later Thursday, but the school released a statement saying the exhibition has been canceled and the traveling party will return home Friday as planned.

Oregon State was scheduled to play the first game of its tour Thursday night and was having a pregame meal when the incident, later declared an act of terror, occurred, the Oregonian reported. The Beavers' game also was canceled. Coach Wayne Tinkle tweeted, "No words to describe the sadness."

Tulane athletic director Troy Dannen tweeted that everyone with the Green Wave's party is "safe and accounted for" in Barcelona. Coach Mike Dunleavy's team is scheduled to return home from its Spanish tour Saturday.

Although Arizona, scheduled to close its three-game schedule in Spain on Friday, hadn't tweeted its status, ESPN.com reported that the Wildcats party had confirmed that all are "safe and accounted for."
