Confronting list proves the sheer brilliance of Bolt

An incredible list uploaded to Twitter proves the sheer brilliance of Usain Bolt in a sport filled with athletes with questionable histories of doping.

The edited list, uploaded by Twitter user Jon Birchall, highlights how Bolt has set himself apart atop the world rankings of the 100 metre sprint.

The image was uploaded with a simple, yet powerful caption and has since been retweeted over 50,000 times.

"The fastest 100m times ever. Those caught doping struck out in red," Birchall writes.

The list shows Bolt sitting pretty on top with the three fastest times ever in the event, before lines of red start showing up, indicating the existence of a drug cheat.

First comes Tyson Gay, the second fastest man in history, who tested positive for banned anabolic steroids in 2013 and was banned for just one year.

That punishment was described by Bolt as "the stupidest thing I've ever heard".

"He got a year just because he talked to the authorities about how it was done and who helped him. That sends the wrong message," Bolt told Runners World.

"The message should be: ‘If you cheat you’re going to be kicked out of the sport’."

Next on the list comes Jamaican teammate, and friend of Bolt's, Yohan Blake, who was on Bolt's 4x100m relay team in Beijing which was stripped of its gold medal due to Nesta Carters drug suspension, ruining Bolt's perfect record of 100m, 200m and 4x100m triumphs in three straight games.

However Blake would later face punishment after testing positive to a drug similar in structure to banned substance tuaminoheptane.

Next on the list of the world's fastest men comes Asafa Powell, who tested positive to the drug oxilofrine in 2013.

Last comes Justin Gatlin, the convicted doper who well and truly ruined Bolt's farewell party at the 2017 World Athletic Championships, beating him in the 100m event.

Gatlin was booed upon accepting his medal, having been convicted of drug offences in both 2001 and 2006.

Sitting pretty above them all in rankings, athleticism and integrity, the Jamaican sensation Usain Bolt.

A man with a crystal clear history who never needed nor sort illegal assistance to set him apart from the rest.

The speed king has also been outspoken of drug cheats who've brought his sport down with them.

"I am definitely angry that the sport is under suspicion," he said in 2015.

"Especially because you work hard and the sport is getting back a good reputation and then it backslides and other athletes do the wrong thing."
