Since switching to Stamford Bridge from Leicester for a fee of £30 million, the France international midfielder has enjoyed terrific success both on a team and individual level.

Under Antonio Conte, the Blues won the Premier League at a canter, while he was voted the division’s best player by both colleagues and journalists.

The 26-year-old might have been playing back in France, but he did not fancy the move.

“It’s true that PSG were like other clubs after my good season with Leicester,” he told Le Parisien. “But I chose Chelsea after speaking to the coach and the sporting director. And I don’t regret it.

“What’s more, the league and the style of play in England pleases me.”

Kante played 41 times for Chelsea last term, including 35 of their 38 Premier League matches, scoring two goals.
