Russell Westbrook drops F-bomb after question about chasing assists

Russell Westbrook fell short of a record-setting triple-double Friday night against the Suns, finishing with eight assists.

Not that Westbrookdidn't try to pick up those two elusive assists. In one sequence late in the game, heignoreda couple of shots he would normally take to pass the ball.

After the game, when a reporter asked him about "huntingassists," Westbrook had a blunt response.

"I mean I was 6 of 25,f---, what do you want me to do?" he said.

Westbrook smiled as he said it, and reporters gathered around his locker chuckled. And while it was perhaps a fair question, not everyone liked it. Kobe Bryant thought the question was "silly."

Bryant tweeted, "He averages a trip dub for the season @ramonashelburne and this is the kind of question he gets #silly."

Westbrook did make history Friday night, as he clinched averaging a triple-double for the year, becoming only the second player, after Oscar Robinson in 1961-62, to perform the feat. He has three more games to get his42nd triple-double this year, which would break Robertson's record from that same season.
