VIDEO: Fan catches a foul ball barehanded while wearing a GoPro

This is sooo 2015. A fan at a Biloxi Shuckers baseball game made what has to be a one-of-a-kind foul ball catch Friday night. He caught the foul ball barehanded with a GoPro camera strapped to his head, which means we have the video above from his perspective.

Now THAT is cool.

It was first game for the Shuckers at their new MGM Park, the construction of which made them the team that spent the start of the season on an epic 55-game road trip. The timing and the sure-thing viralness of something like this alerted our "Is this staged?" sensors.

But the video looks to be legit. The fan, 20-year-old Micah Graves, has been interviewed by local news outlets in Biloxi and explained to WLOX:

“The main reason I brought my GoPro was to capture something amazing at the opening game,” Graves told WLOX. “In my head, I thought about how awesome it would be to record a first person's perspective on catching a foul ball.”

As the ball was hurtling towards him, Graves said only one thought was going through his head.

"This is my chance, so don't you dare drop it!"

Pictures from the scene seem to corroborate the story too.

We're sorry we doubted you, Micah, but we applaud your bar-setting grab. Say hi to The Stew when you're on "Good Morning America."
