US radio host offers dishusting, sexist apology to Erin Andrews

The US radio host who made international headlines last week for a foul-mouthed rant about Fox Sports presenter Erin Andrews is at it again, this time delivering an incredibly sexist apology.

Boston radio host Kirk Minihane last week called the popular Andrews a "gutless b---h" and wished her to "drop dead" after disagreeing with how she handled an interview relating to a revelation Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright delivered retiring New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter deliberately easy pitches.

His apology started off well, but his inner beast came out and claimed Andrews wouldn't be a television presenter if she "weighed 15 pounds (7kg) more", but rather a waitress at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery.

"I used a word to reference Erin Andrews that I shouldn't have used to reference Erin Andrews," Minihane said.

"I will completely cop to that. I said it, I admit it.

"I think she stinks at her job. I don’t think she’s very smart," he said. "I think Fox only hired her because she's good-looking. I think if she weighed 15 pounds more, she'd be a waitress at Perkins."

Minihane's original rant:

"I hate her! What a gutless b---h! Go away. Drop dead. I mean, seriously, what the hell is wrong with her? First of all, follow up. Second of all, the guy admitted he did it. He(admitted) he told reporters he threw a couple of pipe (shots). How is that social media's fault? I hate her. Don't you love social media? Yeah … social media is - shut up. Shut up. I'm sure she’s a nice person, but she's … she's probably a b---h. I hate her."
