Lance Franklin was involved in a car crash early on Monday evening the Hawthorn Football Club has revealed.
The star forward, who is in contention for a recall ahead of Sunday's trip to Port Adelaide after missing the past four weeks with a hamstring injury, did not suffer any injuries in the accident.
However, the driver of the other vehicle was treated for an arm injury according to a statement published on the Hawks website.
The incident comes just three weeks after Franklin incurred a speeding infringement in Brighton.
Franklin was clocked driving 40km/h over the speed limit, resulting in the suspension of his license for six months.
The suspension of his license is due to take effect 28 days after the issue of the original infringement.
