Embiid rebounds from NBA flop for 76ers

Joel Embiid bounced back from the worst game of his NBA career with 33 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 97-91 victory over Sacramento Kings.

Embiid was scoreless on Monday night in the five-point loss at Toronto but returned to form on his home court on Wednesday.

Australia's Ben Simmons also recorded a double-double for Philadelphia with 10 points and 14 rebounds to go with five assists and two steals.

In Boston, replacement Kemba Walker returned from a neck injury to score a season-high 39 points in the Celtics' 121-110 win over Brooklyn Nets.

Jaylen Brown added 22 points and 10 rebounds and Jayson Tatum had 16 points and nine boards for the hosts while Garrett Temple scored 22 points for Brooklyn.

Domantas Sabonis and T.J. Warren scored 23 apiece to help the Indiana Pacers beat the Utah Jazz 121-102 for their fourth straight victory.

Bojan Bogdanovic had 30 points in his first trip back to Indiana since leaving the team as a free agent last summer, while Australia's Joe Ingles contributed 12 to a losing cause.

Anthony Davis scored 41 points in his return to New Orleans and the Los Angeles Lakers won their ninth straight game, beating the Pelicans 114-110.

Davis was roundly booed whenever he touched the basketball in the city where he played his first seven seasons before demanding a trade from New Orleans, which sent him to the Lakers in July.

In Houston, James Harden scored 34 points, Russell Westbrook had 27 as the Rockets beat Miami 117-108 to end a three-game skid,

Danuel House added 23 points, and Westbrook had nine rebounds and seven assists.

The in-form Milwaukee Bucks won their ninth straight game as Giannis Antetokounmpo's 30 points and 10 rebounds paved the way for a 111-102 win over the Atlanta Hawks and Montrezl Harrell tipped in Lou Williams' miss with 2.3 seconds left to allow the Los Angeles Clippers to claim a 121-119 thriller over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Andrew Wiggins scored 26 points, Karl-Anthony Towns had 23 points and 14 rebounds as Minnesota snapped an 11-game skid in San Antonio thanks to a 113-101 triumph over the Spurs.

The Charlotte Hornets edged the Detroit Pistons 102-101 to snap a five-game losing streak and Evan Fournier notched a season-high 30 points to guide Orlando to their first road win of the season, a 116-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Elsewhere, the Toronto Raptors beat the New York Knicks 126-98, Bradley Beal's 35 points was a focal point of the Washington Wizard's 140-132 win over the Phoenix Suns and Carmelo Anthony produced 19 in his home debut before the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 136-119.

The Golden State Warriors won for just the second time at home this season, beating the visiting Chicago Bulls 104-90.
