Rafa closes in on top spot

Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal has closed the gap on Roger Federer in the world tennis rankings, after the Spaniard's epic five-set All England Club victory.

Nadal now trails the world number one by a mere 545 points, with the pair well clear of third-ranked player Novak Djokovic.

Australia's Lleyton Hewitt slipped back one place to 28th.
