China gold, silver in women's badminton

China's Li Xuerui has won Olympic gold in the women's singles badminton with a 21-15 21-23 21-17 victory over world champion compatriot Wang Yihan.
Earlier, Saina Nehwal became only the second woman from India to medal in the Olympics when Wang Xin of China retired injured during their bronze playoff.
