Skydiver makes a dramatic entrance ... in the middle of a game

Big, dramatic from-the-sky entrances to sporting matches are always worthwhile, but only when they're not, you know, during the actual game.

Here, during a Rugby Sevens match in Las Vegas, a skydiver gets his timing a bit off and shows up while the game's still in progress.

Organisers had planned for him to fly in just before the final to deliver the game ball.

Unfortunately, no one had told him that the match before - between Fiji and Samoa - had gone into overtime.

Unperturbed by the miscalculation, the skydiver quickly picks up his parachute and scurries off the field with the ball still strapped to his chest.

For the record, South Africa won the final 40-21 over New Zealand.

@ Greg - what a great 'news' item ! Good thing nothing else in the whole world is happening or we might have missed out on this bit of international drama.
