Kip, I was there and that game was arduous to watch. The breakdown was so slow (from both sides) the players were growing cobwebs.

I have no idea why people are saying it was a great game to watch. Neither side had direction and both lacked any sort of game plan other than to stop the other side from attacking.

Hopefully we will pick Beale this week and chuck him in at 10. Otherwise it will be another snooze fest.

I cannot leave, as it is just a pathetic shambles when I get back.

I have never been so glad to come across posts from Kip - even Ado.
The place is desolate, total absence of any intelligent life.

Hell, the Springboks are dynamite! The stadium was packed to the rafters with 60,000.
In Melbourne there were more empty seats than people watching the Wallabies - and that in 'the city of sport'. Ha

That's because we have large stadiums Grist. In fact, in this wonderful city of ours we have a couple of fabulous 80,000 seat stadiums, a couple that will cope with 30,000 and more than a few that will handle with 20,000 plus.

Which of course is very different to South Africa where there isn't a single city that can offer such a selection. Nor can they offer the quality of stadium. Nor the wonderful lifestyle.

You can however go to a game of rugby in J'burg and still get mugged, car jacked or better still, shot.

I doesn't really matter what quality of rugby your country plays Grist, the joint is still a shithole.

Have a wonderful, safe day. Which you probably will, because you reside here.

Ado, really great to have such stadiums in Melbourne. Just a pity you cannot get bums on the seats. The game between Wallabies and Wales was an embarresment. How many spectators attended - 20,000? Did any of those that attended know any rugby rules?

All Australian Super teams are close to bankcruptcy. The ARU is bankcrupt. Australia is the only SH country to have been forced to cap player salaries, because they are bankrupt due to hideous mismanagement of the game.

South Africa generates two-thirds of SANZAR income. The other third is generated by Nz and Oz together. How pathetic. If you are less arrogant, you can learn the basics of how a business has to be run by looking at third world countries like South Africa. SARU is doing a marvellous job of running a profitable rugby enterprise that financially does not have its equal in world rugby.

If that 'shithole' place generates two-thirds of SANZAR income, what do you call Australia who only generates one-sixth!

Enjoy your bankrupt stadiums in Melbourne. I, for one, shall rather take the money. Just remember that without what you call that 'shithole', there will be no Super or Wallaby rugby in Australia. Go Springboks !!!!

Hi Kip, Sorry about the loss to Wales, but they came out of it with respect intact. Wales should have won last week and they could have won today. Lost both games with one point.

The Wobblies were useless as ever. Unconvincing wins in their own backyard. Boring and substandard compared to previous Wallaby teams. When will Deans head for the back door? Not that it will help much. Even with South Africa funding the salaries of the Wallabies, they played as embarrasing game of rugby. The Wobbly scrum was humiliated as usual - but everybody accepts that by now. At least the stadium in Sydney was full - not the desolated fiasco that happened in Melbourne last week.

You think that is unconvincing, Grist? If you think you convinced anyone in your two performances against England so far then you're deluded. Wallabies have been crappy, but I'd actually say SA have been if not worse, just as bad.

Well Gibbs - Wallabies started by losing against Scotland. They lost convincingly. Then they won against Wales - by only one point in each test in their own backyard. Do you call that convincing? The way the Wallabies are playing, they deserve to have the ARU salary cap imposed on them.

In comparison the SBs won their first two tests against a very good English team with a comfortable margin. Forget about the last test - dead rubber. In fact the SBs have not played this well in a long time. With an excellent new couch and limitless supply of star players, they will only improve.

Yea Kip I agree - the Wallabies will most likely end up below Argentina in the 4 Nations. The Puma scrum will of course pulverize the W scrum - who doesn't? Argentina have for years taken part in the Vodacom Cup in RSA. Their best players play in Europe for years now. I say Argentina will field a great team. The Wallabies will continue to field pretenders that only succeed to get involve in bar fights at 3 am. Curlish Beale is a loser and he was joined by the other clown - Quade Blooper. This Wallaby outfit is going nowhere fast. Stand by for further contraction of the salary cap. Even government funding will not help to stop the collapse. They are going down, down, Down Under!

Grist there was actualy 35,000 at the Welsh test. And just to correct you the Wallabies beat the undefeated 6 nations champions three tests to nil. Unlike South Africa who could only scrape by with two average wins and a draw against a team that got thumped by Wales.

Unlike the Boks the Australian series win was even more gratifying given that 4 critical Wallabies (Beale, O'Connor, Cooper and Horwill) were out for the series.

South Africa just look like a side that will again struggle in the new Rugby championship. Personally i think they will be lucky to roll the puma's.

Ha Ha - the Wallabies were better off without those 4 clowns. Horwill does not have the mojo of a real captain. He is a second Dan Carter. Feels more comfortable spending his career on the injury list. Genia is a natural leader and a much better captain. O'Connor is a second Giteau (remember that wonder boy?). Too small, does not fit in anywhere and lifted in every position by better players. Beale is a second Sailor - cannot handle the fame. He had a terrible game. Going from bad to worse. Then Cooper - oh dear. He is second to no one. He was the worst player at the world cup. He was a fiasco and embarresment. No worries - Oz thinks he is the best player ever.
If I was any of these 4 clowns, I will also drink until 3 am and pick a fight with the bouncers. That is real Oz culture - lurid and lewed behaviour by their sport stars. Nz and RSA players never behave like that. Why do Australians behave so boorish, common, uncultivated, uneducated and unrefined?

Hahahahaha!!!! Unlike a certain springbok I Don't seem to recall any wallabies ever killing anyone. Or any wallabies ever being shot for hanging out with drug dealers! As for Kurtley, I think you'll find a bouncer or two on the unemployment queue for racial sledging very shortly. But, let's not let the facts get in the way of a good grist story. Suffice to say that SA will again prove to be the Wallabies bitches. As you have for the last 3 years. And let's not forget Your only decent coach hated his own country so much he took a job in Australia's worst city to get away from it. Oh that's right Grist, you did too.

Yes, tell me this - why does Australian sportmen behave sooo, like, common?
Grant Hackett hacked his apartment apart and assaulted his girlfriend - nice.
Ben Cousins again guilty of drug possession on his way to rehab centre - great.
O'Connor miss practice due to massive hangover from alcohol excess - fantastic.
Quade Cooper stole laptop, too much drugs on way back from overseas, several fights in bars, alcohol excess in public - cool.
D'Arcy assaults fellow Olympic athlete, declares bankcruptcy to avoid paying the fine and then pose in idiotic picture with guns.

South African and New Zealand sportmen do not behave like this.
Is it just a reflection of the true culture in Australia? Are Aussie girls worse, or why do they put up with this type? Is this the true Aussie - and the girls have no better to choose from? Is this lewed behaviour synonymous with being Australian? Is there no national shame?

Surely South Africans are the global shame? Bees Roux the Bulls prop forward bashes a cop to death....because he was black. Then there was the other Springbok junior and bulls player who hacked 3 innocents to death because he was high. And let's not forget the hit on springbok gangster Solly Tyblika who was on bail when he got sone in for crimes against other gangsters. When it comes to being an international sporting disgrace, seems like no one can compete with South African rugby players. Mind you the Olympics are around the corner. I wonder how many 'athletes' South Africa will let out of jail to compete.. If rugby is the standard to go by, then I suspect the entire team will come from the big house.

Ado you just tell lies, lies and damn lies. South African sportsmen are ambassodors for their country, culture and people. They do not behave like Australian sportsmen - period. RSA sportsmen are impecable gentlemen and legendary role models in the true sense of the word. They are not covered in tatoos, like Australian sportsmen. They do not hang out at bars at 3 am and get into fights with bouncers. RSA sportsmen do not do drugs. They do not prey on drugged school girls in group sexual escapades. No, Australian sportmen are in a class of their own. Of course Australian sportmen do not see the inside of the Big House - the law do not apply to Australian sportmen. That is why they behave like criminals and gangsters and hoooligans - because they can.
