Annie Lush Biography
A three-time match racing world champion, Annie Lush joins sisters Lucy and Kate Macgregor in Great Britain’s women’s match race team at London 2012. A graduate of Cambridge University, Lush won the 2001 Women’s Boat Race before turning her attention to professional sailing. A three-time winner of the International Keelboat Championships, she provides the power and technical expertise to the middle of Team GB’s boat. Lush failed to secure a place in the 2008 Olympic squad, with Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson - the Three Blonds in a Boat - earning the Yngling berths and winning gold. Teaming up with the Macgregor sisters ahead of London, the trio have the 2010 match racing world title to their name and go into the Games as one of the favourites for gold in their class, with France, USA and Holland all likely to challenge.
