Australian Robbie McEwen cast doubt as to whether he would take part in the Olympic Games in August.
The 35-year-old Brisbane rider is third among active riders with most wins on the road, but said he was more focused on September's road world cycling championships.
"I'm still on the list of 10 or 12 riders who can make it to the Games for Australia but I honestly don't think I'm going to Beijing," he said after recording his 104th career victory on the Tour de Romandie.
"I don't think the course really suits my qualities and I'm much more geared up for the world championship in Varese," he added.
Only Germany's Erik Zabel and Italy's Alessandro Petacchi have won more races than McEwen among active riders.
