Troy Dumais Biography
Dumais has been diving for 24 years and has been a member of the U.S. national team since 1996, appearing in all four Olympics this millennium. The longevity has earned him plenty of hardware - he is a 35-time national champion - but an Olympic medal has eluded him. Dumais has been remarkably consistent in the individual 3m springboard at the Olympics, finishing sixth in 2000, 2004 and 2008. The closest he came to the medal stand came in 2000 at the Sydney Games, when he and partner David Pichler placed fourth in synchronized 3m springboard. After he didn't compete in any synchronized events in Beijing, he will be in the 3m springboard competition again in London, now partnering with first-time Olympian Kristian Ipsen.
