Kai Qin Biography

Qin should be primed for another strong Olympic performance after winning two medals in his debut, claiming gold alongside teammate Wang Feng in the 3m synchronised springboard and bronze in the 3m springboard at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. He's also claimed gold in the 3m synchronsized springboard at three world championhips - 2007 in Melbourne, 2009 in Rome, and 2011 in Shanghai. Qin is currently competing in the 3m synchronised springboard with Luo Yutong, and the duo took first place in the event at the FINA Diving World Cup in London in February. Qin first emerged as a force on the world diving scene in 2001, when won gold in 3m springboard and a silver on the platform at the World Junior Championships
