David Boudia Biography
Boudia is a 14-time national champion who participated in the 10-metre and synchronized 10-metre events at the 2008 Olympics. He placed 10th on the 10-metre in Beijing, with his list having the highest degree of difficulty in the men’s platform finals at the Games. Boudia placed 1st in the 10-metre and synchronized 10-metre at the USA Diving Winter National Championships in 2010 and 2011, and at the 2010 AT&T National Diving Championships. At the 2011 FINA World Championships, he won silver on the 10-metre, becoming the first U.S. male to medal in that event at worlds since 1986. Boudia won silver in the 10-metre at the 2010 FINA World Series and bronze in 2011 at that same meet. A six-time NCAA champion at Purdue, Boudia was the 2009 and 2010 NCAA Diver of the Year. He swept the three diving events at the 2009 and 2011 Big Ten Championships, becoming the first diver in conference history to win all three events twice.
