Beijing Test Event

I have been quite busy since the World Championships in October. My coach wrote out a rough training program for the next couple of months thinking that my next competition was in February. This meant that we decided to take our time and change my routines, making them harder. After following this program for a couple of days we recieved an invitation to compete at the Goodluck Beijing Test Event on the 5-7th of December. It was very exciting to be invited to this competition, however it meant that we had to rewrite the whole training program and I had to start more intense training sooner.
I had never been to China so it was pretty exciting to go somewhere different. Because it was a test event I got to compete in the gymnasium that the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition will be in at the Olympics. It was also good to see the set out of the competition hall with the seating the way it would be at the olympics. The competition was over two days, with 2 apparatus each day. I was happy with my competition with two strong routines and only one drop.
We also got to visit the Great Wall which was amazing, and the experience of going to the markets was quite different to anything we have in Australia. It was also nice to see some of the girls from the other countries again.
Over the christmas break I will get to go and visit my family in Sydney for a week. My next competition is in February so I will just be working on my routines until then, and maybe making some small changes here and there.
bye. have a good christmas.
