The biggest meet of my life is here, again

Well it’s nearly here, the last four years have gone so fast. It feels like Athens was only yesterday. But here we are again coming up to the biggest meet of my career to date.
The excitement and hype being created by everyone for Beijing is amazing - I'm glad it only happens once every four years, otherwise I would run out of energy!
I have now finished all of my media and sponsorship commitments, they have been time consuming, but very enjoyable.
Now
I am just focused on training and the month ahead, trying to block out all of
the other factors that become a distraction.
One of the exciting things about being on
an Olympic team is getting all the Australian team gear. In Athens I couldn't believe how much gear we
were given. When we arrived in the village we got 3 suitcases FULL of
Australian team gear!
We haven't received our uniforms or anything yet (we get it all once we get to Beijing), but I'm really excited to see what it is all going to look like.
I leave Perth on the 26th of July for a week-long camp in Kuala Lumpur with the rest of the Aussie team before we fly into Beijing. It is pretty much a time for us to all get together and focus purely on swimming.
It also cuts down the travel time we would have to do all in one go which helps.
We arrive in Beijing on the 3rd of August, 5 days before the opening ceremony.
Hopefully the pollution is not as bad as expected. I think we are going to play it safe and stay indoors as much as we can!
Wish me luck, I am going to need it! Until next time.

Good luck at Beijing! We're all behind you!
