LATEST Tension builds with just days to go

With one week until we depart for Beijing and only 10 days until the start of the 2008 Olympics, things are getting very busy and very exciting. We are halfway through our Olympic training camp, which means lots of meetings and updates, which is exciting and a tad overwhelming.
This week is our last week of training in Australia before we head off to Beijing. We fly straight to Beijing, from there we will settle into the Village and collect our Australian team uniform, which I can’t wait to do.
Training has been going well, with lots of fine tuning and working hard on perfecting my competition dives.
This morning at training I was practising synchronisation with Sharleen Stratton on the springboard, but we somersault into the foam pit (of course landing on our feet!).
So only 13 days until I compete in the Women’s 3m Synchronised with Sharleen and 15 days until I compete with Melissa Wu in the Women’s 10m Synchronised.
After my competitions are over I will hopefully be able to see the Great Wall of China. I would also love to watch other events including: gymnastics, athletics, basketball and hockey – and cheer on the Aussies!

Give it your all. I am sure you will land on your feet.

Love Joan and Martin
Can't wait to see you guys "rip" it up and bring home the bling. You are soooo awesome and a real credit to this Olympic team. All my thoughts and prayers. You can do it.
