Winning at the International Class event in Zeebrugge [Belgium] and hearing the Australian national anthem played. He also rates his win in a bigger class in Austria as one of his fondest memories.
In 2007 he broke a bone in his foot. Several bouts of concussion throughout his career, in 2001 screws were inserted in his left knee and a plate in his right knee.
He was once named Western Australia's Sportsman of the Year.
He is involved with the production of EQ Life magazine. His wife, Annie, is the magazine's manager.
