Breaking the world 200m butterfly record at the 2006 Pan Pacific Championships in Victoria, Canada.
She has suffered from asthma since she was a child. In 2007 she had her treatment reviewed after she contracted a string of chest infections over a three month period. Her coach, Ken Wood, said of the reassessment of her asthma,"I'm sure once we get the medication right, it will improve her out of sight."

In 2005 she was honoured with the Medal of the Order of Australia [OAM], was named Female Butterfly Swimmer of the Year, was a finalist for Australian Swimmer of the Year. In 2002 she was named Australian Female Youth Swimmer of the Year.
