Webb re-signs with Cowboys

Test and Origin rugby league forward Carl Webb has renewed his contract with the North Queensland Cowboys for another two years.

Football manager Dean Lance says it will help boost morale after yesterday's resignation of coach Graham Murray.

"Any good news for a club is crucial to a team, but particularly after yesterday," he said.

"It was a very hard day to get through yesterday for all and sundry and Graham included and the club, and some good news coming into the club with Carl staying, I think it's a very positive thing."

Webb's new contract runs until the end of the 2010 season.
