- One would assume that once the NFL schedule is built and approved that they just email it out to teams.

They don't.

They call every single team.

Here's Mike North, the Senior Director of Broadcast and Scheduling for the NFL, calling the Rams, courtesy of the LA Rams.

[PHONE RINGING] - Oh baby.

- Oh.

- Greetings, Mike.

MIKE NORTH: Gentlemen, good afternoon.

Or good morning out there.

- How you doing?

- Time will tell how good it is.

MIKE NORTH: Yeah, fair enough.

Fair enough.

The Los Angeles Rams open the season on Sunday, September the 10th, at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

- Ooh.

- All right.

Indy.

- All right, guys.

- CBS game.

There you go.

MIKE NORTH: Following week, home on Sunday, September 17, against the Washington Redskins.

- Ooh.

- Oh, now that's exciting.

MIKE NORTH: The game will be at 1:25 PM Pacific time.

- Coach Mike McVay bowl.

- Yeah.

That-- - Can't get beat by big brother.

- Be a good game, man.

- McVay, of course, the offensive coordinator for the Redskins last year.

They're going to be hosting the Redskins in week 2.
